Fee-for-service developmental supports for adults 18+. Passport funding welcome. We help each participant strengthen daily living skills, take part in the community and work toward goals that matter to them.
Support starts with the participant's strengths, choices, routines, communication style and goals.
We practise skills where they matter: at home, in the community and while preparing for work or volunteering.
We do not want to do everything for participants. We help participants learn to do more for themselves.
One-to-one coaching for cooking, meal preparation, budgeting, household routines, organization, personal decision-making and other practical skills that support greater independence.
Individualized support to explore recreation, social opportunities, local programs, public spaces and meaningful community activities while building confidence and connection.
Support with workplace communication, routines, task practice, applications, interview preparation, volunteering and the habits needed to prepare for and maintain a role.
Planned, participant-centred support in the community or another agreed setting, giving an unpaid primary caregiver a scheduled break while the participant is safely supported.
Structured small-group days that combine practical learning, communication, social participation, recreation and supported opportunities to build confidence with peers.
Flexible one-to-one support shaped around the participant's priorities, abilities, communication needs, routines, schedule and agreed goals.
We welcome inquiries for adults with developmental disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, dual diagnoses and related support needs when our team can safely meet the person's needs.
Support can be adapted to communication preferences, mobility considerations, routines, sensory needs, strengths and goals identified with the participant and their support network.
We review each inquiry individually. Acceptance depends on assessed needs, safety, staffing, service scope, location and current availability.
A participant, family member, guardian, case manager, social worker, support coordinator or agency contacts us with the requested support and preferred schedule.
We arrange a conversation to understand goals, support needs, risks, communication, availability and whether House of Freedom can provide the service safely.
When there is a suitable fit, we confirm goals, schedule, responsibilities, fees, documentation and cancellation terms in writing before support begins.
Ontario's Passport Program helps eligible adults purchase community participation, daily living, employment, respite and related supports. House of Freedom is a private fee-for-service provider; we do not describe ourselves as a “Passport approved provider.”
Eligible participants may be able to claim fees for qualifying developmental support services when the service aligns with current Passport Program rules and their approved funding agreement.
The participant or Person Managing Funds is responsible for confirming admissibility, available funding and any required paperwork with their local Passport Agency. The Passport Program makes the final reimbursement decision.
Residential accommodation and developmental support services are distinct offerings. Any housing arrangement uses a separate agreement, separate invoicing and separate accounting from fee-for-service developmental supports.
Rent, room and board, groceries, participant meals, accommodation, household items and ordinary home costs are not represented or invoiced by House of Freedom as Passport-eligible developmental support services.
Invoices identify the participant, date of service, actual support delivered, hours, rate and total. We only invoice for developmental support services actually provided under the service agreement.

We welcome referrals from social workers, case managers, support coordinators, transition workers, hospitals, Passport Agencies, Community Living organizations and developmental-service partners. With appropriate consent, we can discuss goals, service fit, scheduling and documentation needs.

Service begins only after an intake and suitability review. House of Freedom may decline, defer or recommend another resource when support needs, risks, staffing, location or requested scope cannot be met safely and responsibly.

These services do not replace emergency response, medical care, nursing, psychotherapy, behaviour therapy or other regulated clinical services. For immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 911. Please disclose relevant risks and medical considerations during intake so we can assess service fit.
Answers to common questions about eligibility, payment, referrals and service planning. Contact our team if you need help deciding whether an inquiry is appropriate.
No. These are private fee-for-service supports. Participants may self-pay or use another agreed funding source. If you plan to seek Passport reimbursement, confirm that the service is admissible and that sufficient funds are available before support begins.
House of Freedom is a private fee-for-service developmental support provider. We do not claim a special “Passport approved provider” designation. Some services may be eligible for reimbursement under current Passport rules, subject to confirmation and claim review.
Not through our developmental-support invoices. Rent, room and board, groceries, participant meals, accommodation, household items and ordinary home costs remain completely separate and are not represented as Passport-eligible services.
Participants may contact us directly. We also accept inquiries from families, guardians, Persons Managing Funds, social workers, case managers, support coordinators, transition workers, hospitals and developmental-service agencies, with appropriate consent.
Depending on the participant's goals and the agreed service plan, support may take place in the participant's home, in community settings or at another suitable location. Availability, travel, accessibility and safety are reviewed during intake.
We complete an intake and suitability review, clarify goals and relevant support needs, confirm staffing and schedule, and put fees, responsibilities, documentation and cancellation terms into a written service agreement.

Whether you are a participant, family member or referring professional, start with a brief, confidential conversation. Tell us what support is needed, the participant's goals and preferred schedule. We will explain next steps and whether an intake is appropriate.
